When a Microsoft candidate schedules an exam with our testing centre at a specific time and day, a seat is reserved for that candidate, at which time the time and date is taken out of the scheduling and registration system.
Working Skills Centre implements cancellation and rescheduling fees for Microsoft candidates that cancel or reschedule their testing appointment with less than a 5-day notice.
Q: When is the rescheduling / cancellation fee applied?
A: There is no charge to reschedule or cancel bookings that are 6 or more days from the date of original booking. However, any rescheduling/cancellations less than 6 days to the date of original booking will be assessed a fee.
Q: Does the 5 days include the day of the call and the exam date?
A: Yes, that 1 day include the day of the call. For example, a candidate scheduled for 15-March must call Working Skills Centre on or before 10-March.
Q: Are weekends counted in the 5 days?
A: Yes, weekends are counted in the 5 days as well as local holidays.
Q: What if I call in 6 days prior to the test date; will I be charged a rescheduling/cancellation fee?
A: No, the rescheduling fee will not be charged. Only candidates that call with less than 5 days’ notice will be charged the rescheduling fee.
Q: How much will the fee be for rescheduling and cancellation?
A: Rescheduling and cancellation fee $35
Q: I used a voucher for my original booking. How do I pay for the rescheduling/cancellation fee?
A: If you paid by Cheque, Debit or Credit Card, please let us know at the time of the cancellation/Rescheduling to make proper arrangements. Your credit card will be charged the fee and will appear on your credit card statement as a Working Skills Centre fee.
Q: What if my cancellation or rescheduling is due to a personal or medical emergency?
A: If you are forced to cancel or reschedule due to personal hardship, accident or illness we will require a medical / police report.
Q: If I cancel after having paid the rescheduling/cancellation fee, will my refund include the rescheduling/cancellation fee?
A: You will receive the amount paid for the exam. The reschedule/cancellation fee will not be refunded.
Q: Am I able to reschedule my booking at our testing center?
A: Yes, you may reschedule at our testing center.
Q: Are there any exceptions to the reschedule/cancellation fee?
A: Yes, free exams for Microsoft employees and free beta exams are exempt from the reschedule/cancellation fee. Candidates are still required to reschedule/cancel at least 1 business day prior to their appointment. You will need to contact our Testing Center directly in order to reschedule without the fee in these cases only.
