Our programs are designed with hands-on workshops in small class sizes. This model of career training ensures that you receive plenty of one-on-one instruction in a practical environment that mirrors the professional work setting, enabling students to move confidently from training into new professional roles after program completion.
As Diploma program graduate, you will have the chance to gain real life work experience as well. We encourage you to engage in job trial once you have completed the course modules, giving you additional practical hands-on experience in your chosen field of study. You can participate in work experience activities that will enhance your chances of getting a job. It provides you opportunities to develop practical job skills, increase your network of contacts, further your knowledge of Canadian workplace, get work references and acquire confidence.
You will also have access to individualized employment counselling and job development services from our Graduate Services Team. As well as help from our experienced instructors, and tutors, Working Skills Centre’s dedicated settlement and employment counsellors assist you in reaching your career goals.

Pre-requisites/ Eligibility*
- 18 years of age or older
- Committed to attending training full-time for the entire duration of the program
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5/6
- SSGD or equivalent, or passing grades on a variety of academic assessments
- Basic computer literacy

Information sessions are an excellent way to learn more about our programs and services. You’ll get important details on program content, job prospects, costs, financial assistance or funding options, and how to apply. You’ll meet some of our instructors and staff, have a chance to ask questions, and learn about available student services and resources to help you succeed at A.C.E.S.
Information Sessions are held Thursdays 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at our offices conveniently located at 55 Eglinton Avenue East, Suite 703, Toronto (directions), a short walk from Yonge/ Eglinton subway station.
