Working Skills Centre offers programs that support disadvantaged marginalized or socially isolated populations, with the support of Charitable Foundations, Corporations and/or Government Agencies.

In 2025-2026 we were pleased to offer a special project for seniors: Promoting Intergenerational Volunteer Collaboration in the Organizing of Creative and Social Activities for Seniors.
Funded by the Government of Ontario (Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming) through the Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program the main focus of the project was to promote social interaction across generations and build capacity for tenant-led social committees in seniors buildings. The funding made it possible to recruit newcomer volunteers who worked with tenant-led committees in the delivery of special events commemorating holidays as well as smaller events such as exercise classes and creative skills development workshops. The project was very successful with 88% of participants surveyed saying that it helped reduce social isolation.
WSC is interested in working with any organization interested in partnering with us to help disadvantaged groups achieve success in the City of Toronto.
