This course trains students on how to identify, read, write, and edit business correspondence such as memos, letters, and emails. Students will learn common business idioms, numeracy language and vocabulary to help them succeed in the workplace. Students will learn to communicate effectively and gain the necessary communication skills building their Essential Skills Portfolios. They will understand the concept of effective communication, both face to face and on the telephone and will be able to perform appropriately in role play situations. Student will also learn to operate a multiple line switchboard system and understand the function of each feature.
